wip

works in progress this week:

Concentric Circles.  look it up in your kid's algebra book (or some kind of math book)

I'm using a protractor with my disappearing ink pen to mark the designs.

yip

you guessed it.  It's a cool design, but it comes with it's share of work.  All those threads will be tied off and fished in between the layers.  Football season :)

I can't seem to get away from this stack of fabric .  .  .  so many fun options.

this pattern is looking pretty good to me.  it's amazing how many options you have with flying geese.

  1. I love the look of the concentric circles! Did you free motion it? Cool pinwheels - at first I didn't realize they were flying geese!

  2. Love the circular quilting on the plus sign quilt...too cool! Tying off all those ends, not so much fun - but will be worth it in the end! Just beautiful.

  3. The color combination of the flying geese is very effective - I would have a hard time deciding between the two different layouts but you've definitely inspired me.

  4. Love the concentric circles! At least football season is just beginning so you have lots of time left to work on tying off!

  5. Pink and orange looks so fun together, and I love the circles. The green and blues are calming and the exact opposite of the bright pink and oranges - was this on purpose? love it all!

  6. Love that concentric quilting! It's a great contrast to the square-ness of the plus quilt!

  9. Zoinks, that's a lot of ends to bury. But worth it for that great effect...

  10. Circles are just the best! I sew in one spot for a couple stitches then I can just clip the threads
    This looks fabulous
