We were in Nauvoo, Illinois for a family reunion a few weeks ago when I came across
Old Nauvoo Christmas and Gifts. It always brightens my day when I come across a quilt shop while traveling. Since this was a family trip, I "got lost" one morning, while making a grocery run. I love the energy that comes from a quilt shop you haven't been in before. They had a darling patriotic quilt in the window.
I couldn't get a resource for the pattern, but if you call them, I'm sure they can send it to you.
I broke my fabric purchasing diet, and bought Sherbet Pips by Aneela Hoey. Visit
this blog post of Aneela's to see the fabrics I purchased.
How fun! We are planning to go to Nauvoo this summer too. I will plan on making time to get "lost," without children of course. :)
ReplyDeleteThe little grocery story just happens to be across the street from the quilt shop. It was also fun to see some of the real antique quilts on the straw beds in some of the homes down in Old Nauvoo. Have a great time, Leila!
