But with a wedding in the short distance, the yard has been my goal this week:
In case you haven't figured it out, "maidenhair fern" is one of my favorites, you will always find it in my yard.
The weather has been celestial this week and the colors so vibrant.
Speaking of weddings, I have to share a funny tid-bit. A shower was thrown for our daughter last week-end. As part of the game, if the bride answered a question wrong, this is what they did to her: (tied to helium balloons)
Back to quilting . . .
I can't decide what to bind this quilt with. I love these 2 fabrics, but my heart says to use the back ground fabric, a disappearing binding. I'm interested in your opinion . . .

Hah! What a fun game for the bride! I vote smaller print for the binding. I love the quilting!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with the background color, but I'm terribly conservative that way!
ReplyDeleteI like the stripe! Congrats to Laura! When's the big day?
ReplyDeleteI like the stripes for bindings, cut on the bias so that it swirls around the edge of the quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove your Noteworthy quilt! As a general rule, I love stripes or dots for bindings. But I know this line, and there aren't any true stripes in it, so I'd either go with the fabric on the right, or with the background fabric for this one.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
Stripes! I always love a stripy binding! Or scrappy, from leftovers from the top (if there are any). Lovely quilt, regardless of what you'll use for a binding!
ReplyDeleteI'd use the fabric on the right.
ReplyDeleteNoteworthy, one of my very favorite collections, love your quilt. I really like stripes for binding but I would go with the fabric on the right for this one. I think the stripes might be to bold for this one..
ReplyDeleteI really like the stripes! Especially if you make bias binding... but even straight binding would look great in those stripes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your garden, too. I used to have a gorgeous maidenhair fern in my window at work... until I moved to a desk with no windows. Sad.
Backyard weddings are the best! So intimate and charming ; )
ReplyDeleteDEFINITELY the background!
ReplyDeleteI like the one on the right. Looks like you guys are having lots of fun getting ready for the wedding. I hope all goes well...congratulations :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the quilting! I like the greenish color
ReplyDeleteI think the small polka dot binding would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the smaller polka dot binding. Your flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteyes, background. nice call!
